As a sessional academic for Griffith University, Kelly lectures and tutors across the Bachelor of Photography, Bachelor of Design and Bachelor of Creative and Interactive Media. She enjoys the incredible diversity in her teaching portfolio, each day moving from developing first-year critical skills in research methodologies and foundational photographic concepts to third-year students producing their first character-driven short films. She has particularly enjoyed working as the Editor in Chief for the Argus from 2015-2018, a workplace program for third-year Bachelor of Digital Media Photo Media students.
The past two years she has had the honour to co-lead in-field photography workshops alongside Dr Shehab Uddin, where students work in an intensive to produce a body of work reflecting the rural communities they have worked in collaboration. The stories presented back to the community in installed slide shows and then to the broader community through a special edition of the Argus Magazine.
